My Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs in 2007

Posted by Indignus Vernula on June 24, 2007

Ten??? I just started this blog thing last month so as of now I only have few influential blogs.

A brother asked me to join this contest and so here is my list:

1. Bro. Eli Soriano has just recently started his blog and now gaining popularity.  Sa huling sagap ko ng balita ay he has more than 100,000 viewers.  And to be fair, he just started blogging last April ’07.  We can learn a lot of things in his blog especially on spiritual matters.  It’s an all-around blog focussing on Spirituality.  His blog is also interactive.  You can participate on his eDebate page or ask him any kind of question on his Ask Bro. Eli  page.  Can’t really understand English?  No problem.  His page has a translator that can be found on his sidebar.  (I can’t tell you much more about his blog for it is for you to see it.)

2. Goldenferi – she has a collection of poems. Just click this link.

3. Sinag – Caranijuan’s i.ph blog.  Makukulet na posts and worth reading.  Minsan na-late ako sa work dahil may binabasa akong post niya, naaliw lang ako. I would sometimes check out his blog for comments. 😀

I’ll update my 4-10 top blogs pag may nakita na ako .. and oh, if #2 doesn’t qualify, just tell me and I’ll update it.

(sakit na ng mata ko.)

Life is more challenging after I suspect myself suffering from…

Posted by Indignus Vernula on June 24, 2007

Asthenopia.

Though still not confirmed by experts, I just knew I am suffering from asthenopia.

Asthenopia is an ophthalmological condition that manifests itself through nonspecific symptoms such as fatigue, red eyes, eye strain, pain in or around the eyes, blurred vision, headache and occasional double vision. Symptoms often occur after reading, computer work, or other activities that involve tedious visual tasks.

I started having those symptoms when I was in 5th Grade.  There were times I would think that life “sucks” because of that physical pain. My mom would always blame me whenever I said my vision is starting to blur.  She would always say “Magpuyat ka pa!” or “May mga libro pa ako dyan, gusto mo basahin?” And yes, I’m not wearing eyeglasses. Nearsightedness.  I sometimes think that I look funny in front of our TV or my computer.

At times, I would touch my eyes and would feel pain.  Its like pressing your eyes hard, at the same time having headache.  Worse is my nose will bleed.  In addition to being anemic, this asthenopia thing would sometimes suck up my mornings.  I’ll just wake up one day shivering and sweating.  Don’t forget the headache.  Sometimes I think that its worse than asthenopia.

Those were my mornings.

Now, I still wake up shivering but without the fear.  Though I still have some (ano ba talaga bruha?).  I now sleep early and read under good lighting.  I’m still feeling those symptoms but I know that I’ll be fine.  I still haven’t talk to any doctors yet because I don’t have a medical insurance (or whatever you call it) and because I don’t have enough money.

I thank God for everything.

Chuvanes

Posted by Indignus Vernula on June 24, 2007

CHORVA has its etymology from the Greek word “cheorvamus,” meaning “for lack of the right word to say,” or “in place of anything you want to express but cannot verbalize.” Ibig sabihin pala, siya ay parang “aloha” sa wikang Hawaiiano, which can mean many, many things such as “hello”, “love”, or “goodbye”.

“Chorva” can be used as:

Noun: “ano” / “kwan” / “or something”
Example:
“Ate Glow, kelan yung birthday chorvah ni Big Mike?”
“Hoy, Vicky to, whatcha gonna wear ba? The sporty or the Chinese chorva mo?”

Adjective: used if you want to be polite.
Example:
“Ang chorva naman niyan!”
(So, ano ba? Pangit ba o maganda? Baduy ba or maarte? They will never know what you really mean.)

Verb: can replace any verb
Example:
Chorva lang ng chorva!” (ang kulet nito!)

“Chorva” is such an amazing word; it lets you choose your own adventure. At least, you will never be accused of putting words in somebody else’s mouth. If you don’t have anything to say, or you can’t find the right word to say, or you want to say something but you don’t know how to say it, just say CHORVA! 🙂

Variations: chuva, chenes, chenelyn, etchos, chuvanes, charosss!

***This is just a repost. May mga idinagdag lang ako. If you are the original author of the article, please let me know kasi pinasaya mo ako. Chuva ka! 😀

Tulog sa Larawan

Isang maiksing blog….

Sana 😀

Kahit saan laganap yan, as in sa buong mundo!  Ewan ko ba… I just want this to get out of my chest.  Nasisilaw ba sila sa flash ng camera? Masyado ba maliwanag? Puyat ba sila? O trip lang talaga nila?

Diba nakakainis yung ganun? Lets say ikaw yung nakapikit sa picture! Then lets say prom niyo… ang saklap diba? As in kahit saan.

 What’s my point? Wala.

maninila

Plans you drafted so well
It made yor heart swell
And from that dreams you fell.

I believed in that lie
Hoping I’ll be alright
With what you promised – Life.

Look, I was dead. Right?
And you didn’t bring me to life.
And so it is just right.

But I saw hope, Light.
I now have my own mind
I now have my own life.

And as for you Hopeless
Everything’s a wasted grace
Fate is you’ll live in fire.
